Police probe after fatal single vehicle crash in Wamberal

Police are investigating after a fatal single vehicle crash on the state’s Central Coast, NSW Police say.

Just before 9.30pm on Sunday 17 July, emergency services were called to Willoughby Road, Wamberal, following reports a vehicle had crashed into a power pole.

A 17-year-old male passenger was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, but died at the scene.

A 16-year-old male passenger was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics also treated two males and a female, all believed to be teenagers, at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command with the assistance of Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and commenced an investigation.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
