Police are appealing for information after a man and a woman were assaulted in Jindabyne yesterday. , NSW Police say
About 1.30am (Thursday 5 July 2018), a 22-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were walking along Kosciuszko Road, when they were approached by unknown men.
Police have been told the pair were assaulted before the unknown men fled.
They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for facial injuries, before the woman was taken to Canberra Hospital and the man to Cooma Hospital, both in stable conditions.
Officers from Monaro Police District have commenced an investigation into the incident and are appealing to the community for assistance.
One of the men that police believe can assist with inquiries is described to police as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall and was wearing a white jumper and white beanie.
Inquiries are continuing and police are appealing anyone with information to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
