Police probe after man stabbed in Boggabilla

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed at a home in the state’s north on Friday, NSW Police say.

About 9.30pm (22 April 2016), police were called to a home in Yeoman Street, Boggabilla, where they located a 29-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck and back.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics who conveyed him to Goondiwindi Hospital. He remains in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Barwon Local Area Command went to a home in Simpson Street and established a crime scene. Two men were arrested and taken to Boggabilla Police Station.

Detectives from Barwon Local Area Command are continuing to make inquiries into the stabbing. Charges have yet been laid.

While the investigation is ongoing, police believe the incident is targeted.
