Police probe after pedestrian hit by bus in Sydney

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a bus in Sydney’s CBD yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 2.50pm today, emergency services were called to Park Street, following reports of a collision.

Police have been told a 48-year-old man walked between two stationary buses and was hit by another bus travelling east on Park Street.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

The driver of the bus, a 36-year-old man, was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken to police is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
