Police probe after shots fired in Sefton

Police are investigating after shots were fired in Sefton last night, NSW Police say.

About 11.00pm today police responded to reports of shots fired in Rodd Street, Sefton.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe a number of shots were fired from a small light-coloured hatchback before it left the scene.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command are investigating the incident and have established a crime scene that is being examined by specialist forensic officers.

Police have received no reports of injury, or damage to property and the incident is not believed to be targeted.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
