Police probe armed hold-up in Rosebery

Police are investigating following an armed hold-up at Rosebery overnight, NSW Police say.

Just after 9pm today, a masked man armed with a knife entered a fast-food restaurant on Botany Road, near Morley Avenue.

Two female employees, both aged 26, were in the store at the time.

The man demanded cash and threatened one of the female employees with the knife. The other employee complied with the demand.

He then left the store with an amount of cash and was last seen running north along Botany Road.

Officers from Redfern Local Area Command were alerted to the incident and commenced investigations.

Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being about 168 to 175cm tall with dark brown skin and brown eyes and a thin build.

The man was last seen wearing a black hooded top, dark grey long pants and a black balaclava.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Redfern Police or Crime Stoppers.
