Police Probe Armed Robbery, Assault in Morayfield

Police have charged two people after investigations into an armed robbery and assault incident at Morayfield on 14 September.

After intensive investigations by the Petrie Criminal Investigation Branch, a 35-year-old Granville man and a 26-year-old Maryborough woman were arrested on Saltwater Creek Road in St Helens around 7.35am today, 17 September.

The 35-year-old Granville man has been charged with two counts of robbery armed and in company, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence, robbery used personal violence and in company, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and serious assault person over 60.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on 18 September.

The 26-year-old Maryborough woman has been charged with two counts of robbery armed and in company, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, serious assault person over 60, robbery used personal violence and in company, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

She has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on 18 September.

Investigations are ongoing.
