Police probe assault and home invasion in South-West Sydney

Police are investigating following an alleged home invasion at a home in Sydney’s south-west last night, NSW Police say.

About 7.45pm today, police were called to a home on Gould Road, Claymore, following reports of an assault.

Police have been told a 34-year-old man threatened a 33-year-old man in Gould Road. As a result, the man returned to his home in Gould Road.

The 34-year-old man has then allegedly forced entry into the home, in the company of two men and a woman.

The 34-year-old man allegedly had an alternation with a 41-year-old occupant of the home.

A second man has then allegedly assaulted the 41-year-old man with a metal pole.

The three men and the woman then left the home and were last seen walking on Gould Road.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended and treated the 41-year-old man and he was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for further treatment.

Police have established a crime scene at the location and inquiries are ongoing.
