Police Probe Assault at Sanctuary Point

Police are appealing for public assistance to assist with an investigation into an alleged assault in the state's south over the weekend.

About 8.25am yesterday (Sunday 25 January 2026), emergency services were called to an address on Sanctuary Point Road, Sanctuary Point, following reports a man had been assaulted.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District were told a 55-year-old man had arrived at the address about 1am on Sunday (25 January 2026) with serious injuries.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

He has since been discharged.

Police established a crime scene at the address and commenced inquiries into the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for information from the public to assist with the investigation.

Anyone who has dashcam or CCTV in the vicinity of Kerry Street or Sanctuary Point Road, Sanctuary Point, between 1-2am or who was in the area who may have information that can assist is urged to contact police.
