The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Barney Point yesterday afternoon, 9 September.
Officers were called to a sports club on Wood Street around 3.04pm, following reports a white Toyota Hiace van had left the road and crashed.
The driver and sole occupant, a 65-year-old Barney Point man, died at the scene.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash remain ongoing.
Anyone with information or footage of the vehicle prior to the crash, including CCTV or dashcam, is urged to contact police.
