Police probe fatal crash in Southern Highlands

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in the Southern Highlands today, NSW Police say.

Just after 9.45am today, emergency services were called to Moss Vale Road, Moss Vale, following reports of a crash.

On arriving at the scene, police found a Mazda flat bed truck and a Toyota Rav4 had collided.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended; however the driver of the truck, a 69-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota Rav4, a 49-year-old man, was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from The Hume Local Area Command attended and are investigating.

The road remains closed with traffic diversions in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
