Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash in Toowoomba in the early hours of this morning, 29 April.
At approximately 12:15am, police and emergency services were called to the Toowoomba Bypass following reports of a collision involving two trucks travelling eastbound, causing one of the trucks to catch fire.
One of the drivers, a man believed to be in his forties, sustained critical injuries and has died as a result of the crash.
A 50-year old Ravenshoe man was uninjured.
The Toowoomba Bypass eastbound lanes have been closed while the crash site is cleared.
Forensic Crash officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam vision to contact police.
