An investigation is underway after a man was shot in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 7.15pm (Wednesday 12 November 2025), emergency services were called to Old Kent Road, Greenacre, following reports of shots fired.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were told an unknown person had fired a number of shots at two men in a driveway.
About the same time, police were called to Bankstown Hospital following reports a 26-year-old man presented to the emergency department with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Crime scenes were established at Greenacre and Bankstown Hospital, and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As inquiries are ongoing, police have released CCTV of a male depicted wearing all black clothing, including a face covering, and a grey Audi Q3 seen in the vicinity at the time.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information, including CCTV and/or dashcam vision, regarding the movements of the vehicle before and after the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
