Police Probe Hit and Run: CCTV Released in South Brisbane

Detectives have released CCTV in an on-going appeal for information in relation to several alleged hit-and-run incidents across Brisbane's south in the past month.

The vision is of a vehicle, believed to be a silver 2010 Ford Focus, with police appealing for anyone who recognises the vehicle and may have information relating to its manner of driving, or any alleged incidents, to contact them.

A 37-year-old man was charged earlier this month with offences including acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm following three alleged incidents at Calamvale, Runcorn and Mt Gravatt on December 23, January 1 and January 3.

The has been since been charged in relation to an alleged incident where a 70-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on Wednesday, December 21 at Sunnybank Hills.

Police will allege the woman was walking through a shopping centre carpark at around 2.15pm when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle allegedly left the scene with the driver failing to assist the woman. She was treated for minor injuries.

Detectives charged a 37-year-old man with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and fail to remain at the incident and render assistance. He is due to next appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 12.
