Police probe home invasion in Campsie

Police are investigating a home invasion in Campsie this morning, NSW Police say.

About 3.35am tomorrow, emergency services were called to a home on Eighth Avenue, following reports of a home invasion.

Ambulance Paramedics treated a 51-year-old man at the home, with a cut to his leg. His injury is not considered life-threatening.

Initial investigations suggest two men in dark clothing entered the home and demanded property from the man before fleeing.

The man and his 8-year-old son - who was home when the incident occurred - were both taken to hospital. The boy was not injured during the incident.

Officers from Campsie Local Area Command established a crime scene and investigations are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
