Police probe house fires in Guildford

Police are investigating following two fires at a house in Sydney’s west last night, NSW Police say.

About 7.30pm today, emergency services were called to Bright Street, Guildford, following reports of an abandoned home on fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers arrived and extinguished the blaze; however, it caused minor damage at the rear of the property.

About 11pm, emergency services were again called to the abandoned home on Bright Street, following reports of a fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW offices attended and the blaze was extinguished.

Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command are investigating and believe the fires were deliberately lit.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
