Police probe motorcycle crash in Hawkesbury

Police are investigating a crash in Sydney’s north west which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries today, NSW Police say.

About 12pm today, police were called to Putty Road, Colo Heights, after reports of a crash.

The male motorcyclist sustained serious leg injuries.

He was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he will undergo surgery. His condition is not known at this stage.

Officers from Hawkesbury Local Area Command attended and are conducting inquiries into the incident assisted by the Crash Investigation Unit.

A number of witnesses, including the driver of a truck stopped to assist.

The Putty Road is currently closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

No other details are available at this time.

Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers.
