Police probe pedestrian crash in Parramatta

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a bus in Sydney’s west today, NSW Police say.

The man was struck just after 2.45pm today, near the intersection of Wentworth Street and Parkes Street, Parramatta.

Emergency services attended and freed the man from underneath the bus.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from Parramatta Local Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.

The bus driver was not injured and will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
