Police Probe Public Shooting in Merrylands 14 September

Police have commenced an investigation after a public place shooting in Sydney's west this morning.

About 1.40am (Sunday 14 September 2025), officers from Cumberland Police Area Command responded to reports of a number of gun shots fired into a home on Harris Street, Merrylands.

Three people – two women aged – 49 and 22 – and one teenager – a 15-year-old boy were in the house at the time of the incident.

There were no reports of injuries.

A crime scene has been established as an investigation in relation to the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
