Police probe robbery in Liverpool

Police are appealing to the public for assistance following a robbery in Liverpool last night, NSW Police say.

About 8.30pm yesterday, a 28-year-old man, who had advertised his mobile phone for sale online, met with an unknown man on Riverpark Drive, Liverpool.

When the owner handed the phone to the man for inspection however, he reportedly ran away with it.

The offender tried to get into a black BMW which was parked nearby, and when the phone owner approached the vehicle he was assaulted by the man and two others.

A fourth man then drove the BMW away along Riverpark Drive.

A short time later the victim attended Liverpool Police Station to report the matter. He was treated for his injuries by Ambulance Paramedics.

Police are investigating the incident and would like to speak with four men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance and 175cm tall, of solid build. He was last seen wearing khaki coloured chino and white sneakers.

Two other men are also described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance.

A fourth man is not further described.

Police would also like to speak to anyone with information about a black BMW that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
