Police Probe Rydalmere Crash, Seek Public's Help

Police are appealing for information following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's north west.

About 7am today (Friday 15 August 2025), emergency services were called to Victoria Road, Rydalmere, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command attended and found two vehicles – a hatchback and a sedan – collided head on, with the sedan igniting in flames.

Fire and Rescue NSW officers attended and worked to extinguish the flames.

The sedan driver – a 25-year-old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The hatchback driver – a 24-year-old man – was treated for injuries to his upper body before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigation are ongoing.
