Police are investigating after a man was shot in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.
Just before 5.15pm today, emergency services were called to North Liverpool Road, Heckenberg, following reports of shots fired.
On arrival, police from Green Valley Local Area Command found a 20-year-old man outside a home with a gunshot wound to his hip.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Police have been told a black vehicle, not further described, was seen driving from the scene.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist officers.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
