Police probe shooting in Parramatta

A crime scene has been established after a man was shot in Parramatta, NSW Police say.

About 11.10pm today, police were called to Bobart Street, Parramatta, near the intersection with King Street, after multiple gun shots were heard.

Officers from Parramatta Local Area Command attended and located several casings on the road.

A crime scene was established.

A short time later, police were notified that a 20-year-old man presented to Westmead Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

He is understood to be in a stable condition.

Inquiries are continuing into the incident. No arrests have yet been made.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
