Police probe smash repair fire in Woolgoolga

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a smash repair business on the state’s north coast yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 8.50pm yesterday, emergency services were called to Featherstone Drive, Woolgoolga, about 25km north of Coffs Harbour, following reports of a building fire.

Police, Fire & Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW Ambulance attended and found the commercial property well alight.

The blaze was extinguished; however, the building, with numerous vehicles and equipment inside was damaged.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At this stage, the blaze is being treating as suspicious.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
