Police Probe Sudden Death In Buccan

Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman at Buccan this morning, Monday 12 January.

Around 1am, a 46-year-old woman was reported missing from Ashgrove.

The woman was last seen at The Gap around 7pm on Saturday 10 January.

Following investigations, officers attended a property on Waterford Tamborine Road at Buccan to conduct a welfare check around 2.30am.

The male resident is known to the woman.

At the scene, officers located a deceased woman who had sustained injuries.

Nobody else was present at the property.

A crime scene was declared.

Police will await results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of the woman's death.

Investigations continue to locate the male resident.
