Detectives are investigating after a body was located in Slacks Creek this afternoon.
Officers, with the assistance of the SES, had been conducting a systematic search of parklands in the Slacks Creek area in relation to an ongoing missing person investigation.
At around 1pm officers located the body of a deceased woman in Timothy Park on Park Road.
A post-mortem examination to determine the identity and cause of death is expected to be conducted in the coming days.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in or around Timothy Park in Slacks Creek between July 14 and today to contact police.
