Police Probe Suspicious Albury House Fire

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious house fire in the state's south earlier this year.

About 1.15am on Sunday 27 April 2025, emergency services responses to Southern View Drive, West Albury, following reports of a house fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW responded to find the house fully alight. The blaze was extinguished after several hours; however, the house sustained significant damage.

The house has been undergoing renovations and no one was home at the time.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District responded and established a crime scene. Police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Police are releasing CCTV images of a woman who was seen in the vicinity of the fire, who may be able to assist with inquiries.

She is described as being of a thin build with blonde hair and is depicted wearing black pants, a white jacket and was carrying a bag at the time.
