An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hospitalied following a crash at North Sydney this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway just before 6am today (Tuesday 20 January 2026), after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a garbage truck.
Officers from North Shore Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was treated and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
The truck driver was arrested and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are examining the scene.
