Police have released footage of a vehicle as they appeal for information after a public place shooting in the Wollongong area earlier this month.
About 11.30pm on Saturday 17 May 2025, police from Wollongong Police District were called to a home on Cotterill Avenue, Woonona, following reports a gunshot had been heard.
Officers attended and spoke with the occupants of a home.
Damage was located on the front of the home, consistent with a projectile; however, there were no reports of injuries.
Police established a crime scene and began an investigation under Strike Force Baines.
About 12.50am on Sunday 18 May 2025, Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters were called Dallas Street, Keiraville, following reports a car had been set alight. The blaze was extinguished a short time later.
As inquiries continue, police have released vision of a car that may have been in the vicinity at the time of the shooting.
