Police release CCTV after child indecently assaulted in Glebe

Police have released CCTV footage as part of a renewed appeal for information into the alleged indecent assault of a young girl in Sydney’s inner-west earlier this year, NSW Police say.

It is alleged about 8.20am on Saturday 27 May 2017, a five-year-old girl was on Wentworth Park Road, Glebe, when she was approached by a man and indecently assaulted.

The matter was reported to police from Leichhardt Local Area Command who began investigating the incident.

As part of their inquiries, detectives have now released CCTV images of a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

The man depicted is described as having a tanned complexion, about 165-170cm tall, of a slim build, with black hair, and wearing glasses.

Anyone who can assist police should contact Balmain Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
