Police release CCTV and images as part of Glen Iris carjacking investigation

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV and images of a man as part of their investigation into a carjacking in Glen Iris earlier this month.

A woman was seated in her parked red Ford Focus on Hope Street when she was approached by an unknown man about 6.10pm on Monday 18 October.

The man told the woman he had a firearm and demanded she get out of the vehicle.

The woman did not see a weapon but complied with the man's demands.

The man drove the vehicle for about 20 minutes before dumping it on High Street, Ashburton.

Detectives have released CCTV footage and images of a man they believe could assist with enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian, about 50-years-old, about 188cm tall with short grey hair and was wearing a black face mask, black jacket and navy pants.
