Police release CCTV footage in bid to identify youth, SA

Police today released CCTV footage from the Munno Para Railway Station that shows a youth damaging property at the facility in a bid to identify him, according to SA Police.

Recorded about 1.45pm on Friday 24 March, the footage shows the young man approaching a lift on the western platform and damaging a glass panel by chipping away at it with a set of pliers.

Shortly after he pries open the external lift call mechanism and cuts out sections of wiring, preventing the lift from operating and causing extensive damage.

Inquiries by officers with the Public Transport Safety Branch since that time have failed to identify the offender.

While he is believed to be a juvenile, police today released CCTV which shows his clothing and behaviour in a bid obtain public assistance to identify him.

He is of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall with a slim build and his blond hair is slicked to the left.
