Police release CCTV in relation to drive-in blaze, SA

Detectives from Holden Hill are renewing their appeal for information following a ram-raid and fire that damaged a Gepps Cross Drive-in by releasing CCTV that has been recovered, according to SA Police.

Just after 1.35am, Wednesday 29 March, police and fire crews were called to the Drive-in theatre on Main North Road following reports of a building fire.

On arrival, the main building at the Drive-in was well a light with numerous fire units attending to the blaze. The fire was eventually brought under control with the incident being considered suspicious.
Fire Cause Investigators have examined the scene determining how the fire started.

Prior to the fire, CCTV vision shows two masked men in a stolen Ford ute ram the front doors gaining entry into the building before stealing an ATM from inside.

Later, about 2.30am, police located the stolen car set alight on Eastern Parade at Ottoway. After the fire had been extinguished the ATM was found in the rear tray of the ute.
