Police Respond to Fatal Box Hill South Crash

A man has died in hospital following a collision in Box Hill South on 17 October.

Detectives from Major Collision investigation Unit have been told a Toyota RAV 4 and a Hyundai Getz collided head-on on Middleborough Road near Ailsa Street about 12.50pm

A Toyota Hilux then collided with the RAV 4 and a Hino truck then collided with the Hyundai.

The male driver of one of the Hyundai, a 86-year-old man from Camberwell, was taken to hospital with critical injuries but later died.

The 67-year-old driver of the Toyota, a woman from Doncaster East, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

No one else who was involved in the collision was seriously injured.

The investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
