A man has died in hospital following a motorcycle crash at Mayfield last month.
About 12:15pm on Tuesday 18 November 2025, emergency services were called to Industrial Drive, Mayfield, following reports of a crash.
On arrival officers attached to Newcastle City Police District located a motorcyclist who had crashed into a truck.
The rider, a man aged 60, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the truck, a 48-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the crash. Those investigations remain ongoing.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner regarding the man's death.
