Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Mackay Harbour

Police from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a single vehicle motorcycle crash at Mackay Harbour this evening, October 13.

Initial investigations indicate that around 9pm the motorcycle left the road on Edmund Casey Drive, before crashing into a lamppost.

Members of the public stopped to assist the 29-year-old rider from Sarina, however he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man riding the grey Suzuki motorcycle in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dash-cam footage to contact them.
