Police responding to fatal single-vehicle crash at Tamworth

A man has died in a single-vehicle crash at Tamworth yesterday.

Just before 6.10pm on Monday (10 January 2022), emergency services were called to Peel Street, Tamworth, following reports a Foton utility had left the roadway and hit a fence.

Despite the efforts of other motorists and NSW Ambulance paramedics, the driver – a 59-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will now be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
