Police responding to fatal single-vehicle crash at Narrabri

Emergency services remain at the scene of a single-vehicle crash in the state's north-west.

Just after 11am today (Wednesday 2 February 2022), emergency services were called to the intersection of Old Gunnedah and Kaputar Roads at Narrabri, following reports a vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. The driver is believed to be a man; however, is yet to be formally identified.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced and anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
