Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Gordonvale 8 May

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Gordonvale this afternoon.

Initial information indicates around 1pm a truck was driving on Campbell Street near the intersection with Simmonds Street when a collision occurred with a motorcycle.

The rider, a 60-year-old Gordonvale man, died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, also a 60-year-old man, did not sustain any physical injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
