Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Julatten

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash at Julatten early this morning, August 13.

Initial investigations indicate the car crashed into a tree on Mossman Mount Molloy Road near the intersection of Euluma Creek Road around 4.15am.

Emergency crews arrived soon afterwards, but the 32-year-old male passenger died at the scene.

A 25-year-old male driver received minor injuries and was taken to Mossman Hospital in a stable condition.

Motorists are advised diversions remain in place while investigations into the cause are ongoing.

Anyone with information or dashcam of the crash, is urged to come forward.
