The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal traffic crash in Morayfield early this morning, June 10.
Investigations indicate, about 12.10am, a grey Honda Civic was travelling along Morayfield Road, near Walkers Road, when it has lost control and struck a tree.
The driver, a 25-year-old Morayfield man was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The passenger, a 77-year-old Morayfield woman, was declared deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
