Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Farleigh

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic crash in Farleigh this evening, June 17.

About 6.50pm, a black Toyota Kluger was travelling along Bruce Highway, near Donohues Road, when it lost control before coming to a stop on railway tracks nearby.

A 73-year-old Mackay woman was transported to Mackay Hospital in a critical condition where she later died.

Two children, who were also in the vehicle at the time of the incident, were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
