The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash at Carrara last night, 24 July.
Around 7.10pm, emergency services were called to Nerang Broadbeach Road, near Birmingham Road, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Initial investigations indicate, the man was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a Holden Commodore before landing on the opposite side of the road and being struck by a Ford Falcon.
The 63-year-old Carrara man was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a 51-year-old Currumbin Waters woman and driver of the Holden, a 57-year-old Carrara man were not physically injured. Both drivers remained on scene and are assisting police with inquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash, to come forward.
