Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Moranbah 9 August

A man has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash in Moranbah yesterday, 8 August.

Around 11.24am, emergency services were called to a crash on the Peak Downs Highway after a silver Toyota Hilux left the roadway and collided with a power pole.

The passenger of the Hilux, an 18-year-old Balberra man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Hilux, an 18-year-old Beaconsfield man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Moranbah Hospital for assessment.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
