Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Lakefield

A man has died following a fatal single-vehicle crash at Lakefield yesterday afternoon, August 29.

Just before 1.30pm, emergency services were called to Lakefield Road following reports of a single-vehicle motorbike crash.

Initial investigations indicate the rider lost control of the motorbike on a dirt track and crashed.

The rider, a 72-year-old Canadian national, died at the scene.

Forensic Crash Unit's investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
