A man has passed away in hospital following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Stuart on 6 September.
Initial investigations indicate around 2.05pm, a silver Hyundai i30 and a silver Toyota Camry travelling in opposite directions crashed on Southern Port Access Road.
The driver of the Camry, an 82-year-old Kirwan man, was transported to Townsville University Hospital however passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 49-year-old Innisfail woman, and her female passenger sustained minor injuries.
They were transported to Townsville University Hospital for treatment.
The Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has any relevant vision to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
