The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Gaven early this morning, 21 September.
Initial investigations indicate about 2.50am, a silver Jeep Cherokee was parked on the side of the northbound M1, near the Smith Street on ramp, when it has been struck by a grey Toyota Hilux.
A male infant, who was in the Jeep, was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital, however died a short time later.
The driver of the Jeep, a 24-year-old Ormeau Hills woman, was also taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the Toyota, a 51-year-old Loganlea man, sustained minor injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
