Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Mudgeeraba

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Mudgeeraba this afternoon, 12 October.

Initial information indicates that around 3pm, a white Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling along Somerset Drive when it left the road and collided with a tree.

The male driver was treated by emergency services but was declared deceased at the scene.

A passenger was transported to hospital for treatment.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has relevant dashcam footage to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
