Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Haigslea

A woman has died following a serious traffic crash involving a car and pedestrian in Haigslea (Ipswich), 26 December.

Initial investigations indicate around 7.43pm, the pedestrian was struck by a Ford Ranger at the intersection of the Warrego Highway and Linings Road.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old woman, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 50-year-old man, was not injured in the incident and returned a negative roadside test for alcohol and drugs.

Forensic Crash Unit Investigators are appealing to anyone with relevant vision leading up to the crash to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
