Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Buccan

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash in Buccan this afternoon, 9 February.

Initial investigations indicate that around 2.11pm, an orange Suzuki DI650a motorbike and a white Toyota Hilux crashed on Waterford Tamborine Road.

The rider of the motorbike, a 51-year-old Logan Reserve man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 41-year-old Deception Bay man, was not physically injured.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are continuing.

Witnesses, particularly anyone with relevant vision of the motorbike prior to the crash, are urged to contact police.
